Hames Chocolates’ new shapes sharing pouches

Hames Chocolates’ new shapes sharing pouches

Family-owned Hames Chocolates has been making chocolates and confectionery in Lincolnshire since 2005. Now, this autumn sees the innovative chocolate maker move into the fast-growing pouches sector with new Hames Solid Milk Chocolate Shapes, available now from wholesalers. The new pouches are ideal for a host of gifting and retail outlets as well as high street retailers and specialist chocolate shops.

There’s something for everyone in Hames Chocolates’ new range of 100g Solid Milk Chocolate Shapes pouches, from dinosaurs to hedgehogs, cats, dogs, bunnies, frogs, butterflies, ladybirds and bugs, and owls. If that wasn’t enough, there are dinosaurs and unicorns too, and with the festive season on the way, a Solid Milk Chocolate Shaped Santa pouch, for retailers to include in their Christmas confectionery offerings.

All Hames Chocolates’ products come in eye-catching packaging, combining contemporary designs and branding to create standout on-shelf, particularly in retail and leisure retail outlets. The new Solid Milk Chocolate Shapes range supports sustainability using Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa, and all the packaging components of the new pouches are recyclable.

“The time is right for us to launch these new sharing pouches,” says Carol Oldbury, Director of Hames Chocolates. “Mintel’s recent research confirms that since the pandemic there’s been a shift in chocolate confectionery purchasing, from higher-priced impulse formats to larger formats, and right now the nation could do with exciting treats that they can engage with and share.”

Hames also offers bespoke personalised confectionery for both own-label and promotional sectors, and work with many foodservice suppliers too. Customers also include leisure centres, holiday parks and retailers, ranging from garden centres to department stores, as well as hotels, and tourist destinations

Hames Chocolates’ 100g Solid Chocolate pouches are available now in outers of nine, from wholesalers nationwide. For sales enquiries, contact sales@hameschocolates.co.uk.

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
