This summer, 7UP is linking up with Uber Eats as part of an exciting partnership, including an on-pack promotion giving consumers the opportunity to win Uber Eats vouchers, 50 per cent off an Uber Eats grocery shop, or a free 2L bottle of 7UP free every minute, from mid-May 2022 to mid-September 2022. The partnership and promotion will work to boost the visibility of the 7UP brand and its suitability for social food moments, whilst supporting retailers in unlocking additional soft drink sales opportunities.

“The 7UP brand, which is worth a total of over £70m, is the perfect partner for a campaign with Uber Eats as flavoured carbonates account for 27 per cent of soft drink choices when ordering food," said Phil Sanders, out of home commercial director at Britvic. "The promotion creates an opportunity for 7UP to become the go-to brand of soft drink with the evening meal as it will strengthen the link between food occasions and soft drinks. As the demand for rapid delivery continues to rise, this strong partnership will help retailers to drive sales and visibility of their soft drink brands.”

Alex Troughton, Head of Grocery and New Verticals at Uber Eats UK also commented: "At Uber Eats we want to empower our customers to get whatever they want, whenever they want. We’re excited to be partnering with 7UP to offer their customers the chance to get great deals on their first grocery order on Uber Eats."

Each promotional can or bottle will display a QR code that consumers can scan for a chance of winning delicious prizes with Uber Eats or via 7up.co.uk/moments. 7up & Uber Eats will also be supporting the promotion via an Outdoor and digital campaign and on the Uber Eats app across the Summer, which will to help to drive awareness and visibility of the 7UP brand, reaching around 90 per cent of CSD category buyers.

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
