The wine category plays a vital role in convenience retail, driving higher basket spend and attracting valuable shoppers, but it’s often hampered by limited space, time-poor staff, and low shopper engagement. Now, Accolade Wines is changing the game with the launch of Wine Advantage, a new retailer support platform designed to help convenience stores grow their wine sales with confidence.

The launch follows the success of Accolade Wines’ convenience store trial(s) in partnership with Parfetts Cash and Carry and its symbol group, Go Local. Conducted over three months across seven key convenience retailers, the trial delivered an impressive nine per cent increase in value sales, significantly outperforming the wider market, which saw a decline of four per cent, highlighting the impact of a structured and shopper-friendly wine fixture in driving category growth.


Building on these insights, Accolade Wines has created Wine Advantage – a dedicated retailer support platform designed to simplify the wine category for convenience store operators. The platform provides retailers with exclusive category insights, optimised store planograms, engaging POS materials, and the latest brand updates to help them stock better and sell smarter. To bolster the launch of the new support platform, Accolade Wines is also offering a free case of wine to retailers who sign up, implement and share a picture of the POS materials in-store.
