Add a crunch to your sales with new non-HFSS belVita

Breakfast biscuit brand belVita is growing its healthier offering with three new non-HFSS additions: belVita Fruit Crunch, in Raisin & Currant and Apple & Pear flavours, and belVita Soft Bakes Filled Apricot. The healthier credentials will help to drive incremental sales for retailers in these new formats.

With a recipe that combines delicious fruit-and-fibre ingredients with a crunchy texture, belVita Fruit Crunch Bars contain under 100cal per biscuit. The two new flavours will offer shoppers a lighter option for afternoon snacking and fuel for those in-between mealtime moments.

Meanwhile, belVita Soft Bakes Filled Apricot will bring this fruit flavour to the popular belVita Soft Bakes range for the first time, helping to grow incremental sales for retailers. The soft-baked snack is filled with apricot jam for a fruity burst at breakfast and beyond.

All three new snacks from belVita are non-HFSS, meaning they won’t be subject to restrictions coming into place in October and retailers can site the snacks anywhere in store. The new bars are also low in saturated fat, giving consumers healthier alternatives to other category offerings.

“These latest tasty additions to the growing belVita range are set to offer shoppers exciting, healthier options for their morning to mid-afternoon snack, driving incremental sales for retailers," said Amy Lucas, Brand Manager for belVita at Mondelēz International. "We know there is a real opportunity for retailers to drive interest and grow sales at both the morning and afternoon snacking occasions now that consumers’ routines have returned to normal, so the new Fruit Crunch and Filled Apricot biscuits will be a delicious snack for them to enjoy at home or on the move.

“The new range still contains belVita’s trademark wholegrains and all the products are a natural source of fibre and magnesium. We’ve kept these benefits and added new taste combinations to reach new shoppers, as well as bringing excitement and our iconic positive energy to our loyal belVita fans.”

At an RRP of £2.99 for each multipack of individually wrapped packets, the new variants will be available from mid-August (belVita Soft Bakes Filled Apricot) and September (belVita Fruit Crunch). For more details and merchandising advice, please visit www.deliciousdisplay.co.uk.

Drink Trends 2025: Navigating economic challenges with innovation and flavour

2025 will do doubt be the year the drinks industry truly feels the repercussions of the global and UK economic climate, political turbulence at home and away, and the duty hikes threatened for such a long time coming into play. While inflation has seen a gradual reduction over the last 18 months, the increase in interest rates and the knock-on effect this has on household expenditure will continue to be a theme as we head into 2025. We may see some prosper, but for many, it will be a year of adaptation, change and resilience. However, as an industry, we innovate, shape tastes and trends, strive to deliver world class drinks to the on-trade and retailers, and find ways to drive pockets of growth.

2025 will not be easy, but it will be interesting and there are areas of growth shaping the industry during the year ahead.
