Astonish celebrates ‘The Original’ with launch of new cleaning paste

Astonish celebrates ‘The Original’ with launch of new cleaning paste

UK manufactured eco-friendly cleaning brand, Astonish, has launched "The Original", a versatile cleaning paste that pays homage to the brand's 55-year legacy.

Astonish's historic cleaning paste product "The Great Household Cleaner", known as the original solution for tough stains, had been a household staple for years, thanks to its versatility and effectiveness.

In a move to hark back to its roots, Astonish has launched a new cleaning paste, aptly named 'The Original’. Featuring a newly devised formula, The Original is already available nationwide.

Priced at just £1, The Original’s versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of cleaning applications; from kitchen surfaces and pans to glass doors and outdoor fixtures, ideal for the millions of customers increasingly seeking multi-purpose cleaning solutions for a low cost.

Howard Moss, CEO of Astonish, commented: “For more than 50 years, Astonish has remained a household favourite, offering a cost-effective cleaning solution without ever compromising on quality. Today, this demand from customers for reliability and affordability remains unchanged.

“The Original has been launched to give retailers the opportunity to satisfy value-focused customers, by adding a cleaning classic to their shelves.”

The launch of The Original follows a busy period of NPD for Astonish. In February, Astonish expanded its product offering with the introduction of five new ranges across major supermarkets, including both household cleaning and personal care products.

Among the new product ranges included its Fabric Refresher, featuring advanced 'encapsulated' technology designed to leave clothes and upholstery fragrant for up to 42 days.

Howard continued: “Astonish's expanded presence in stores solidifies its position as a formidable competitor against the rise of own label products.

“Over the past year, numerous retail partners have transitioned to stocking Astonish brand products over their own labels, showcasing the trust both retailers and consumers have in the expanding Astonish household cleaning range."
