Biggar and Leith unveils new ltalian liquer Stambecco Maraschino Amaro

Fine wine and spirits company, Biggar and Leith, is releasing a new brand liqueur named Stambecco Maraschino Amaro.

Produced at the Vergnano family distillery, Torino Distillati in Pidemonte, Italy, Stambercco Maraschino Amaro and is made with 100% natural ingredients.

Master Distiller, Beppe Ronco, created the alcoholic beverage by infusing herbs and spices including sweet and bitter oranges, coriander seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg and more.

The addition of maraschino cherries makes this a smooth, fruity and rounded drink that is a unique style of Amaro and a world first.

At 35% ABV, Stambecco is the latest spirit from Biggar & Leith who recently launched the Hotel Starlino range of Vermouth and Aperitivos.

The beverage takes its name from the Italian word for the Ibex or long horned mountain goat which roams the Italian Alps near the distillery.

Founder, Elwyn Gladstone says: “Every home bar should have a bottle of Stambecco. This approachable Amaro has a complexity to the spirit which makes it perfectly suited for cocktails such as a Stamhattan - a twist on the Manhattan and it can also be enjoyed neat on the rocks or as an ice cold shot.”

Stambecco Maraschino Amarao will be available to buy on Amazon and Proof Drinks with a RRP of £25 in mid-August.
