UK plant-based meal brand Bol Foods is expanding its extensive vegan range by adding new winter recipes, just in time for Veganuary.

Bol Foods’ new recipes include Energy Boosting Thai Red Coconut & Lentil, Immune Boosting Roasted Butternut Squash & Chilli Power Soups, an Italian Roasted Tomato Pasta Veg Pot, a Sweet Potato Katsu Curry One Pot Meal, Spicy Firecracker Udon, Japanese Yakisoba Posh Noodles and a Chickpea Masala Dinner Box.

Each new recipe is said to be packed with healthy plant protein, fibre and up to four portions of vegetables alongside fragrant herbs and spices.

Paul Brown and Jess Vara, senior brand managers at Bol Foods, said: “The NPD we launched in the summer has transformed Bol, contributing to 55% of our overall monthly volume and helping us to feed the UK 350,000 plant-based meals.”

“We want to continue creating delicious, plant-based recipes that excite and interest all consumers, whether they are passionate plant-eaters, or those looking to eat a little less meat each week and we believe our new recipes are set to do just that,” they said.

Last month, Bol Foods introduced ready-to-drink Power Shakes, which is deemed as meal-replacement drinks designed for busy people who don’t want to compromise on either in taste or in nutrition.

Bol Foods was founded in 2015 with a range of pots, salad jars and soups. In two years, Brown reportedly decided to dropped meat and fish from the range to emerge as 100 per cent plant-based brand.

Currently, the range includes salad jars, dinner boxes, soups, veg pots, power breakfast and lunch shakes.

Campaigners honoured for justice in Post Office scandal in Honours List

A group of tireless campaigners who fought for justice for subpostmasters and mistresses caught up in the Post Office Horizon scandal have been recognised in the 2025 New Year Honours list. Among the honorees are Seema Misra, Lee Castleton, Josephine Hamilton, and Christopher Head, each named Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for their unwavering commitment to justice.

The honours spotlight their pivotal roles in exposing the flawed Horizon IT system, which led to wrongful convictions of hundreds of subpostmasters for financial discrepancies. Also recognised was Dr. Kay Linnell, a forensic accountant and expert witness whose advisory work with the Justice for Subpostmasters Alliance was instrumental in achieving restitution.
