Boost Drinks launches £20,000 giveaway for local independent retailers

Boost Drinks launches £20,000 giveaway for local independent retailers

As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, leading functional drinks brand Boost Drinks has launched a search to find the best local independent retailers in the business.

The ’Celebrating 20 Years of Local Legends’ competition is designed to celebrate the brand’s year-on-year growth and thank stakeholders for their continued support over the years.

With £20,000 in store for the winner, independent retailers across the UK are invited to enter the competition by completing an online application form highlighting how and why they go ‘above and beyond’ to help their customers and are encouraged to submit photos, testimonials and other supporting materials to give them the best chance of being shortlisted.

Customers can also nominate their local retailer, by just providing testimonials which could enhance their local retailers’ applications.

The competition – which runs from July to October – will be judged by a panel of industry experts including Jason Birks, vice president of the NFRN and a number of senior stakeholders within Boost, as well as promoted via a new partnership deal with the NFRN.

Timeline Boost

“We’re extremely fortunate to have enjoyed 20 fantastic years at Boost; we want to celebrate our success by highlighting the commitment, energy, character and successes of 20 of our hard-working independent retailers across the UK – our very own ‘Local Legends’ who make a real difference to their local communities, every single day,” Simon Gray, Founder and Managing Director at Boost.

“Boost’s growth has been driven by 20 years of energy, commitment, inclusivity and loyalty. We recognise those qualities in our independent retailers too, and we’re looking for entries that shine a spotlight on the true gems on the streets of our local neighbourhoods – from delivering groceries to elderly customers come rain or shine, to sharing recipe ideas for delicious dinners.”

The top prize of £20,000 will be awarded to a retailer to invest in their business, boost sales, increase profit and drive footfall. Second place will receive £2,000 with third place taking home £1,000. Further prizes will also be awarded to 17 runners-up.

The successful ‘Local Legends’ will be announced in October, and the winners will be presented awards at a gala ‘Platinum Party’ in London in November, a special awards ceremony and dinner marking the culmination of a year of birthday celebrations.
