Boost Drinks launches depot sports activations for new sponsorships

Functional drinks brand Boost Drinks will this month be carrying out a range of trade activations to celebrate its Sport range, increased community support work and partnership with Leeds United Football Club.

Following on from the news of Boost’s extended sponsorship with LUFC and the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Boost will be driving excitement and engagement with their Sports range through a series of exclusive competitions at selected depots. Wholesalers need to simply buy three cases of Boost Sport at Parfetts Halifax, Bestway Leeds or Batleys Leeds on selected dates to be in with a chance of winning two Leeds United home tickets to enjoy*.

The activity will showcase the popular isotonic Sport range, which has seen +84 per cent growth YoY and is currently the #2 Sports drink brand in value and volume, selling more units than the #3 and #4 brands combined. Sports drinks are currently the 2nd fastest growing category in Soft Drinks, showing +27 per cent YoY growth in value. By stocking a range such as Boost Sport, that combines ‘Taste’ and ‘Value’, the two main drivers of choice for Sports drink consumers, retailers can ensure they maximise sales to impulse shoppers .

Boost Drinks is this year also continuing its extensive CSR programme, with two main areas of activity and the aim of encouraging change in the community by supporting individuals, groups and organisations that make a real difference. Boost is working to support a range of community groups and help them positively impact their local area to facilitate change as well as supporting talented young athletes by nurturing and recognising their abilities through sports and beyond. All of this being underpinned by the goal of supporting those that are benefiting themselves, their communities, and others.

The in-depot activations will also work to showcase the new and improved Boost Drinks and Leeds United Football Club partnership. The recent agreement saw two iconic Yorkshire brands team up to drive an all-round highly engaging consumer experience including digital led stadium branding, social media activations and increased stadium branding. Also included is product sampling on game days, Boost fridges located in four of the official Leeds United retail stores and Boost Energy, Boost Iced Coffee, and Boost Sport available at the stadium on match days – an initiative from last year’s partnership that was highly desired to return.

The combination of an increasingly successful Sports drink range, ambitious CSR work across the year and an exciting partnership with that saw Boost become LUFC’s first “Gold Tier Partner” marks an exciting time for Boost as a brand and a brand plan for the isotonic range that shows no sign of slowing down.

*2x standard tickets per depot for a 2022/23 home match. Competition only available on selected dates and depots – Parfetts Halifax (12/10/2022), Bestway Leeds (28/09/2022) and Batleys Leeds (29/09/2022).
