Britvic appoints new Chief Procurement Producer

Britvic has announced that Matt Swindall has been appointed as the new chief procurement producer of the company.

Mr Swindall has more than 20 years’ experience working for Coca-Cola, both for Coca-Cola Enterprises in Europe and the United States and has held a series of roles within the Coca-Cola Company in both procurement and supply chain operations.


Most recently, he leading the drinks company through the global procurement for plastics packaging and sweeteners.

Steve Potts, Britvic’s chief information, transformation & digital officer, said: “I am delighted to welcome Matt to Britvic. Matt’s wealth of industry experience makes him perfectly suited to lead Britvic’s international procurement function.

“Through Matt’s leadership, we will continue to establish a sustainable, fair and robust approach to procurement that delivers value for our suppliers, helps us to grow our business, and realise our vision to be the most dynamic soft drinks company, creating a better tomorrow.”

Armed robberies hit three  mid-Ulster c-stores, accused arrested

Two men have been arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies at convenience stores in mid-Ulster, which took place on Thursday (30).

The first incident occurred just before 7am at McCrystal’s Day-Today, a filling station on Ballinderry Bridge Road in Coagh. Two masked men, one wielding a handgun, entered the store and threatened staff, holding a weapon to one man's head before forcing him to open the till.
