Burton’s Biscuit Co said it will donate products to charities to mark National Biscuit Day today (May 29).

A number of charities or organisations which focus on combatting loneliness or supporting elderly people at risk of social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic will receive a bumper Burton’s Biscuits hamper.

The hamper includes some of the nation’s favourites like Maryland Cookies, Jammie Dodgers, Wagon Wheels, Thomas Fudge’s and Paterson shortbread.

Burton’s said it has been supporting hundreds of charitable organisations with product donations since the start of the pandemic, including donating to the NHS the equivalent volume of every single biscuit produced between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday nights, as part of its support for the Clap for Carers initiative.
