Burts announces return of festive favourite snack

Burts announces return of festive favourite snack

Award-winning snack maker, Burts, is announcing the return of its much-loved Maple Pigs in Blankets potato chips, for a limited time only, during the 2024 festive season.

Last year’s overwhelming consumer demand of this limited-edition flavour paved the way for this year’s anticipated success.

Available through key wholesalers, including Bidfood, the crisps will also have increased distribution on Amazon for broader accessibility allowing consumers nationwide to enjoy Burts’ signature seasonal flavour while stocks last. Available from September 2024, RRP £1.25 per 40g bag.

Back by popular demand, these hand-cooked, crisps offer a unique flavour combination that has become a staple for Christmas snacking. Figures from last Christmas reflect the popularity of the Maple Pigs in Blankets flavour, with sales projected to grow by an impressive 106% year-on-year for the 2024 festive season.

Offering a combination of smoky sausage and bacon flavours, balanced with the sweetness of a maple glaze, each pack is hand-cooked in Devon, using only the finest locally sourced potatoes from the South West. As with all Burts products, these crisps are gluten-free and contain no added MSG, artificial colours, or flavours—making them the perfect choice for discerning snackers this festive season.

Commenting on the new limited-edition flavour, Sas Horscroft, Head of Marketing at Burts Snacks Ltd said, “Our Maple Pigs in Blankets crisps have become a seasonal favourite and last year’s demand exceeded our expectations. With a 106% increase in sales forecasted, we're confident that this festive flavour will be bigger than ever in 2024. The increased distribution this year ensures even more consumers will enjoy this delicious festive treat.”

Designed for festive snacking occasions, these crisps are perfect for enjoying on the go, whether at local pubs, cafes, farm shops, or as part of a Christmas day out. Burts continues to offer consumers something different, with its limited-edition products adding excitement to the seasonal snack market.
