Camden Town Brewery launches limited-edition lager for Arsenal fans

It’s been 50 years since the Gunners took home the iconic "Double" – winning both the FA Cup and Premier League in 1971. To celebrate this key moment in Arsenal history, Camden Town Brewery has launched a commemorative lager made specially with Arsenal in mind - Double Hells Lager.

On sale now, this limited edition beer is a 7.1 per cent classic Camden Hells recipe, double dry-hopped with Hallertau tradition hops for an extra kick and dry finish. Using unfiltered yeast for a punchy bitterness, Hallertau Tradition hops is added throughout the brewing process for greater "Noble" hop character, balancing out the bigger malt presence.

A full-bodied lager packed full of citrus and herbal flavours, beer (and football) fans can expect Camden’s new beer to have a classic fresh bread malt character, with grass and spice notes from the hops.

“1971 was one of the most iconic years for Arsenal and its amazing fans, so we brewed this limited-edition beer, that’s just as special as that Double, for Gooners to celebrate with,” said Ashleigh Amos, Head of Brand Experience and Partnerships at Camden Town Brewery.

“Inspired by the away kit the team won in 50 years ago, we’ve swapped our iconic Hells Lager red for yellow and blue. The new colour is exclusive to our new Double Hells Lager, so it looks as fresh as it tastes.”

Camden Town Brewery’s Double Hells Lager is available now for £30 on the Camden web shop at: www.shop.camdentownbrewery.com
