Carnivor Wines partner with Great British Chefs for 2020

Premium Californian winery Carnivor is partnering with leading food website Great British Chefs to offer a selection of recipes that are perfect to enjoy with a glass of the American wine brand.

The multi-media partnership kicked off in early July and will run to the end of 2020, targeting consumers who appreciate high-quality wines and meals.


Great British Chef finalist Michael Bremner has developed two red meat-based recipes, to pair with Carnivor Zinfandel, the first being a barbecued Rib-Eye, is currently live.

In addition to recipe creation, the partnership will be supported on social media, with competitions also featuring on the Great British Chefs website and across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

The campaign will work with some of the UK’s finest chefs while highlighting how Carnivor is the perfect wine match for tasty, high quality meat dishes.

Boldly blended to enjoy with meat, Carnivor celebrates consumers’ primal side, making them feel confident in their wine choice.

Part of E&J Gallo Winery’s premium portfolio, Carnivor is currently the #3 Premium USA brand in the UK1 (£7+), with Carnivor Zinfandel the UK’s number one Zinfandel.

The 2017 & 2018 vintage also won a gold medal at Mundus Vini Wine Competition.

Carnivor Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon wines are available from all good wholesalers nationwide.

Shop’s licence bid rejected over illegal vapes and ‘no regard’ for children’s safety

A Rossendale shop has had a licence bid rejected after repeatedly selling vapes to children and having illegal products on its premises.

Management at the Ibra Superstore at 34 Burnley Road, Bacup, have shown ‘no regard’ for children’s protection and safety, and have insufficient controls for licensing, Rossendale councillors have ruled.

October saw shop prices fall marginally further into deflation for the third consecutive month with food inflation eased, particularly for meat, fish and tea along with chocolate and sweets as retailers treated customers to spooky season deals, shows industry data released today (29).

According to British Retail Consortium (BRC), shop price deflation was at 0.8 per cent in October, down from deflation of 0.6 per cent in the previous month. This is below the 3-month average rate of -0.6 per cent. Shop price annual growth was at its lowest rate since August 2021.
