Celebrate summer and enter Ferrero’s coolest competition yet

Ferrero UK is launching a spectacular summer competition this July, set to drive further awareness and uptake of its ice creams which launched earlier this year. Exclusive to existing and new users of the retailer rewards app *shopt, the competition offers the chance for one store to win a grand prize of their very own summer bank holiday celebration package, including 10 cases of the Ferrero Rocher Classic and Raffaello ice creams. Shining a light on the winning convenience store as being at the heart of their community, the package will help retailers give back to loyal customers and keep shoppers engaged this summer, while five runners-up will also receive bespoke summer POS toolkits to use in-store, helping to drive traffic to their freezers.

“It’s always good to see convenience retailers engaging with their communities and there’s been no shortage of opportunities over the last couple of years with celebration moments like the King’s Coronation," said Jason Sutherland, UK & Ireland sales director at Ferrero. "We see this competition as being a chance for us to support retailers further by inspiring them through the competition and helping one store bring to life an August Bank Holiday celebration that will bring their community together. This is the first summer for our ice cream trio, so what better way to mark this than with a chance for stores to win cases of stock to sell or sample to shoppers.


Ferrero Rocher Classic

“Summer remains a pivotal season which accounts for almost half of annual category ice cream sales and our Ferrero Rocher Classic and Raffaello premium ice cream sticks are key to attracting existing Ferrero shoppers to the ice cream freezer, as well as recruiting new ones. By partnering with *shopt, it will allow retailers to be rewarded for stocking Ferrero ice cream SKUs and help to build confidence in the strength of the range by demonstrating the value these products can bring to their store.”

The prize package will include everything retailers need to hold a store summer celebration over the August bank holiday weekend. The package will consist of summer fete style activities, music, games, as well as ice cream refreshments courtesy of Ferrero, with the winning retailer able to invite shoppers down to their store to say thank you for their ongoing support.

To enter, all retailers need to do is ensure they are stocking both the Ferrero Rocher Classic and Raffaello ice cream singles and submit a photograph of the products in store within the *shopt app, which will allow them to redeem their £2 cashback reward. By doing this, retailers will then subsequently be entered into the prize draw.

According to analysts, the UK no/low market more than doubled in 2024 on the year before. Caleño have recently expanded its portfolio with two new non-alcoholic rum alternatives, including the highly anticipated White Coconut.

Founder Ellie Webb’s idea for Caleño was sparked on a night out with friends “getting down to some Latin funk” but was frustrated by nights our being centred around alcohol.

After a holiday to Colombia, Ellie returned with the ideas for recipes for her sun-drenched Caleño range. Caleño has won two gold awards at The Spirits Business No & Low Masters and continues to receive acclaim from critics and consumers alike.

The non-alcoholic spirits range is the first in Paragon’s portfolio and both companies are committed to driving further growth in the high-quality, alcohol-free market.

Paragon Brands specialises in unique and unusual premium drinks brands. The company has 22 brands from around the world, including Żubrówka, Pusser's Rum, G'Vine Gin, Licor 43, and Martin Miller’s, in its growing stable and champion exciting and innovative drinks brands.
