Cobra Beer unveils new brand ambassadors

Cobra Beer unveils new brand ambassadors

Cobra Beer has unveiled leading chefs Jeremy Pang and Marni Xuto as its new brand ambassadors.

Jeremy Pang, who has featured on TV shows including Sunday Brunch and Jeremy Pang’s Asian Kitchen, will work with Cobra throughout the year to develop a host of bespoke Asian-inspired dishes that pair perfectly with the delicate flavour profile, hoppy aroma and smooth finish of Cobra and Cobra Zero. Cobra Beer has also become the official beer at Jeremy Pang’s Covent Garden restaurant, School of Wok.

Content creator, author and recipe developer Marni Xuto, who has become a household name thanks to the popularity of her blog Thai Food Made Easy, will also work with Cobra to create exclusive recipe content that highlights the versatility of Cobra as a food pairing, and host cooking demonstrations in partnership with Cobra throughout the year.

The recipes will be shared on Cobra’s social media channels to demonstrate to consumers that cooking Asian meals can be simple and delicious and that Cobra is the perfect beer to pair with all Asian cuisine.

The content aims to inspire aspiring foodies to pair complementary food and drinks at home, helping retailers to generate more linked purchases by tapping into Cobra’s association with Asian food.

“I’m honoured to be one of Cobra Beer’s ambassadors for 2024 alongside the wonderfully creative Marni Xuto," said Pang. "We’ve created a whole host of dishes that we’re really excited about and we are looking forward to working on even more.

“The beer is so well suited to all types of spices. Having worked in a lot of detail with the pairings and learning about the intricacy of both Cobra and Cobra Zero, I’ve really seen that the unique, yet subtle flavour works amazingly well when paired with any spicy meal.”

Lord Karan Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer, said: “Cobra is renowned for being the perfect accompaniment for all manner of Asian cuisine, and as chefs renowned for their fantastic Asian cooking, Jeremy Pang and Marni Xuto are ideal partners for Cobra.

“By combining Jeremy and Marni’s incredible range of culinary skills and the knowledge of Cobra’s beer experts, we’ve created some amazing dishes that bring together Cobra’s smooth taste and punchy spice in perfect harmony, which we’ll be sharing for everyone to enjoy.”
