Crumpton Oaks returns to screens with £1,000 retailer giveaway

Crumpton Oaks returns to screens with £1,000 retailer giveaway

Aston Manor Cider has announced the return of its successful advertising campaign, Straight Outta Crumpton, to screens this summer.

The advert is a play on N.W.A’s ‘Straight Outta Compton’ hit, injecting both personality and fun into the cider category. Back on screens for a second year in a row, the Crumpton Oaks advertising campaign will be rerunning from 1 June to further disrupt the category on an even larger scale.

The advert forms part of a wider multi-channel marketing campaign, and will air across Channel 4, Channel 4 Music, Gold, Dave, Sky Music Channels, Sky Max, Sky Showcase, Sky Comedy and Comedy Central, amongst others.

To celebrate the return of Straight Outta Crumpton, Aston Manor is offering retailers and wholesalers the chance to win £1,000 cash. To enter, retailers and wholesalers need to stock up on any case of Crumpton Oaks between 1 June and 31 August, then scan the QR code.

They will then need to upload a picture of their invoice to enter. To further incentivise entrants, there are no limits on entries with one invoice per entry permitted.

“Following on from the success of our Straight Outta Crumpton campaign last summer, we have decided to rerun the campaign on a greater scale to further target 25-35-year-olds,” Katie Walker, Brand Manager at Aston Manor Cider, said.

“Feedback from retailers, wholesalers and customers across the country was overwhelming as we saw it really resonated with people. This is because this classic song appeals to both those who remember the release of the 1989 hit which paved the way for modern day hip-hop, as well as new consumers who will remember the hit playing in their homes while growing up.

“We are proud to share that Crumpton Oaks Cider is now the number one value cider brand in the impulse channel and we believe a lot of the brand’s success is down to our Straight Outta Crumpton campaign. By rerunning the TV advert on a bigger scale, we hope to bring a smile to many faces and celebrate with an additional cash incentive to retailers to wholesalers.”

Straight Outta Crumpton will also appear during the Ashes 2023, across Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Main Event. The campaign will also feature on digital channels including ITVX, All4 and Skymedia, as well as out of home adverts and social media platforms.

Crumpton Oaks Apple Cider is a medium cider, made from pressed bittersweet apples, which are blended with the juice from crisp dessert apples and then fermented to achieve a full flavoured refreshing cider.

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
