CSM Ingredients launches new cookie mixes

CSM Ingredients launches new cookie mixes

CSM Ingredients has launched two new cookie mixes under Craigmillar brand.

Available in Plain and Chocolate varieties, both the mixes produce a delicious and indulgent premium style cookie with a soft centre and outer crunch.

They are the perfect choice for ‘grab and go’, to offer with a hot drink or as part of an indulgent cookie range, all produced with just one mix.

The easy to use mix provides convenience in that there’s the flexibility to make a batch and freeze pre made cookie pucks ahead of time and bake off fresh as required. They can also be stored overnight in a sealed container to allow baked off cookies to go on sale the next day that taste as fresh as when they were first baked.

It’s also easy to add a touch of indulgence to both flavours as they work well with additional ingredients as well blending them together to create a bespoke marble effect. CSM added that the mixes are designed to help businesses create stand out by offering a bespoke cookie range via inclusions such as dried fruit, chocolate chip cookies, toffee sauce or Crembels and a strong range rotation with seasonality and promotional specials such as giant birthday and celebration cookies.

“The growth in the sweet bakery sector is being fuelled by cookies outperforming other categories with a growth of 9.4 per cent and an increase of 5.2 per cent in OOH delivery and takeaway. It’s key that businesses ensure they have a high-quality range available that appeal to all age groups, in particular 18-29 year olds, and our new cookie mix fits the bill perfectly,” commented Cristiana Ballarini, CSM Ingredients marketing director, pastry mixes.

“Our new range meets the demands of the marketplace and bakers can be rest assured they can produce high quality, customised cookie offerings with minimal complexity to help drive impulse purchases. The two mixes are designed to create a huge range of tasty, appealing products and can be combined with inclusions to produce a range of cookies that meet the current post pandemic mood of the public desiring indulgent cravings with a healthy twist.

“And as we know attractive and on trend designs can also help drive online presence with an ‘instagrammable’ product offerings that catches the eye of customers.”

Both the Plain and Chocolate mix are suitable for vegetarians and are made from certified sustainable palm oil.
