Leading canned fruit brand Del Monte has announced its 2024 partnership with rising tennis star Jodie Burrage.

Burrage, ranked British women’s number three, will collaborate with Del Monte to promote the benefits of incorporating canned fruit into an active lifestyle and nutritious diet.

She will have a specific focus on championing tennis’ unsung heroes, the ball boys and ball girls, in this year’s campaign. Burrage, who started her tennis career as a ball girl at the age of 10, said supporting the wellbeing of courtside teams and young people in tennis is of high importance to her.

“Nutrition plays an important role in maintaining an active lifestyle, particularly when you are young and still growing. As a former ball girl myself, the well-being of our courtside team and young people is a cause close to my heart,” she said.

“I want to help the next generation understand the importance of including healthy and nutritious food into a balanced diet and active lifestyle, which is one of the reasons I am delighted to partner with Del Monte, my favourite fruit producer.”

As part of the collaboration, Burrage attended a meet-and-greet with ball boys and girls, during which she shared her personal experiences as well as general health and wellbeing tips with the courtside teams. She will also participate in key promotional activity for Del Monte, including national press advertising, national consumer media interviews, social media activity and more.

The activity builds on the brand’s ongoing partnership with the LTA and previous successful sponsorship activity with fellow British tennis ace, Cameron Norrie. Burrage will wear Del Monte’s highly recognisable logo on her tennis kit throughout the upcoming season.

“As a longstanding supporter of British tennis through our partnership with the LTA, Del Monte is delighted to welcome Jodie Burrage as our newest ambassador,” Martin Selley, managing director of Del Monte UK, said.

“Jodie is the perfect partner for Del Monte as not only does she epitomise the next generation of British talent, but she has long been a fan of consuming fruit regularly as part of her nutrition plan to fuel her on the court and in recovery, which clearly aligns with our values. Her balanced approach, unwavering determination, and hard work make her an exemplary role model for future generations.”

Jameson teams up with Admiral, for a tracksuit modelled by Kyle Jameson

Irish Whiskey brand Jameson has been the English Football League's (EFL) main spirits sponsor for two seasons and is deeply entrenched in all aspects of the league, including player sponsorships. It has now signed up with Admiral to celebrate both brands' association with the beautiful game. They have worked closely together to create a full retro-inspired tracksuit in Jameson’s signature green, featuring key elements from Admiral’s world-famous designs for team performance wear, to create a slouchy royal green trackie ready prepped for pubs, presents, party games and freezing cold five-a-sides this Christmas.

Jameson shares a history rich with the beautiful game, so teaming up with an iconic heritage brand like Admiral felt like a natural fit, with the results speaking for themselves,” said Josh McCarthy, Brand Director for Pernod Ricard UK. “A classic tracksuit, from two classic brands, to look sharp after the match when buying your mates a round of Jameson, Ginger and Lime. Nostalgia is everywhere at the moment and growing up in Leicester, there was no shortage of Admiral tops in the park and at the local football clubs.”
