Delice de France is launching a new range of Smoothies and Shakes that can be prepared in just 30 seconds, in partnership with Batch.

The range enables retailers to drive significant sales and profits with a drinks range that is simple for staff to prepare.

The five-strong Smoothie range contains Strawberry & Banana; Pineapple, Mango & Passionfruit; Super Green; Super Berry and Mango & Dragon Fruit flavours. They have an RRP of £4.50-£5.

The three flavours available in the Shake range include Chocolate & Peanut Butter; Mixed Breakfast Berry and Vanilla Matcha. These have an RRP £4.75-£5.25.

All Batch products are gluten-free, vegan, and contain only natural ingredients and Grade A fruit. Their small case sizes of 12 reduce cash outlay for outlets.

Batch is a SALSA-accredited factory just outside London that hand packs its products for 100 per cent consistency. Because all products are hand-packed, the team can work with ingredients that competitors struggle to process through automated packing machines, such as matcha and nut butter, as well as protein and superfood powders.

The drinks tap into several trends such as plant protein and matcha. Matcha-flavoured beverages and smoothies have seen a 202 per cent increase in sales as consumers become more familiar with its benefits.

The versatility of the products gives customers the ability to use one pouch in many formats. For example, the mixed berry shake Super Berry smoothie creates the perfect base for a breakfast buddha bowl or acai bowl, which have an RRP of £5.50-£6.25.

“Our partnership with Batch unlocks a huge opportunity for busy retailers and outlets that are looking to diversify their drinks range with healthier products that can be made in less than 30 seconds,” said Thierry Cacaly, Delice de France CEO.

Commenting on the partnership, Edwin Caws, Sales Director of Batch Organics, said: “Launching with Delice de France really has felt like a partnership. Their product team were very involved from a recipe development point of view. Once we'd nailed this, their sales team were brilliant at communicating our products to their customers.

“While we’d recommend that outlets list the full range to give their customers plenty of choice, if they can only list two or three, we’d suggest our Mango & Dragon Fruit and Super Green smoothies, as well as our Vanilla Matcha Protein Shake.”

To prepare the Smoothies, outlets simply need to add 200ml of apple juice to a blender alongside the contents of the smoothie packets and blend until smooth. For the Shakes, it’s the same process but with 200ml of milk or milk alternatives.

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
