Elf Bar launches new CIGALIKE look-a-like

Leading disposable vape manufacturer Elf Bar has announced the launch of CIGALIKE, a new product that just looks like a conventional cigarette.

Unveiled during Stoptober, CIGALIKE provides adult smokers and vapers with around 400 puffs to help accelerate the number of adult smokers quitting in the UK.

Now in its 11th year, the Stoptober campaign by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities aims to empower adult smokers to give up smoking during October which is key to improving the public health of the nation as smoking remains one of the biggest causes of preventable illness and death in England.

CIGALIKE, which features an ultra-compact design with a diameter of just 9mm making it perfect for use on the go, is particularly designed to support hard core adult smokers quit their habits. The product also includes an upgraded coil.

The brand has also teamed up with 20 retail outlets across the UK to launch a challenge amongst smokers to lay down the equivalent of 50,000 cigarettes during Stoptober month. Evidence shows people are five times more likely to quit for good if they can make it to at least 28 days smoke free.

Elf Bar is handing out its new CIGALIKE vape product to 1,000 smokers who commit to handing in their conventional cigarettes during October. Generally, one CIGALIKE is equivalent to smoking 50 standard cigarettes.

“Stoptober is a great campaign to raise awareness of vaping as a considerably less harmful and expensive option than smoking. Using our new CIGALIKE we are challenging smokers to give up the equivalent of tens of thousands of cigarettes during the month of the campaign and to inspire them to quit their habits,” Victor Xiao, chief executive of Elf Bar.

“According to the NHS, vaping is one of the best ways to quit smoking. Brands and the retail sector have an important role to play in getting this message out there to adult smokers by working closer together.”

Mandeep Singh Kohli, owner of Flawless CBD and Vape Shop, one of the retail stores participating in the challenge, said: “Elf Bar is one of the leading vape brands in the UK and has helped thousands of former smokers transition to vaping, which according to evidence from the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities is at least 95% less harmful than smoking.

“Public health campaigns such as Stoptober are crucial to raising awareness of and providing advice on the alternatives to smoking, including vaping, as there are still some 6 million smokers in England. We’re delighted to do our bit through challenging adult smokers to come into our store and give up their ciggies and try vaping as a quit method.”
