Four men charged for numerous Co-op stores burglaries

Four men have been charged in relation to a series of burglaries at multiple Co-op stores across Cheshire.

According to local reports, Daniel Kelly, 31, and Shaun Moorcroft, 27, were both arrested Friday (11). The pair have since been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.


Kelly, of Prior Street, Bootle, and Moorcroft, of no fixed abode, appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday (14) where they were remanded in custody.

The charges against Kelly and Moorcroft relate to burglaries at nine convenience stores across Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, which took place between Feb 10 until last week. The shops burgled also include Co-op, Chaise Meadow, Lymm and the Co-op, Knutsford Road, Warrington.

Two other men, Anthony Hollywood and Anthony Carroll, both aged 42, were also charged with conspiracy to commit burglary. The charges against Hollywood, of Stafford Drive, Bootle, and Carroll, of Longfellow Street, Bootle, relate to burglaries at seven convenience stores which took place last month.
