Fruittella Summer Fruits now bursting with extra flavour

Leading confectionery manufacturer Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) has given a juicy boost to its Fruittella range, adding the ever-popular blackberry flavour to its relaunched Summer Fruits sticks and sharing bags lines.

Available to all retail and wholesale outlets now, the new Summer Fruits range is bursting with the tang of real fruit juice and now includes Strawberry, Orange, Lemon and Blackberry, giving consumers a refreshing taste of summer that they can enjoy all year round.

PVM’s research shows Strawberry is still the most popular among consumers, accounting for 70 per cent of sales, but Blackberry is the public’s second favourite flavour and brings extra appeal. By adding Blackberry to the feast of flavours Summer Fruits offers, PVM is hoping to build on the 24.4 per cent growth in sales Fruittella singles achieved in the last 12 weeks and strengthen Summer Fruits’ position as the number-two favourite stick behind Strawberry.

Like all Fruittella chews, Summer Fruits are made from real fruit juice, include natural colourings and flavours and with coconut oil instead of palm oil. They are also individually wrapped, helping promote hygiene – particularly important in light of the Covid-19 pandemic – and giving parents and carers more control over portions.

The new Summer Fruits range comes in sticks and will also be available in the Favourites Multipack format which experienced 18.8 per cent growth in the last three months, adding variety to a range that is already worth £2m.
