Frylight announces partnership with author, influencer Nathan Anthon

Frylight announces partnership with author, influencer Nathan Anthon

Frylight, the one-calorie spray oil, has announced a new partnership with bestselling author and creator of food platform, Bored of Lunch, Nathan Anthony.

The author, cook and social media creator will develop a series of air fryer recipes for the brand, showcasing the versatility of the Frylight range, the UK’s number one spray oil brand from owner Saputo Dairy UK.

“Air fryers are owned by nearly half (42 per cent) of UK households," said Holly Dunnett, Frylight Brand Manager at Saputo Dairy UK. "It is not a trend, but a kitchen staple now, and we strongly believe there is a natural opportunity for Frylight to take the starring role in everyday air fryer use. Many consumers do not realise that spray oils, such as Frylight, are perfect for spraying on to food cooked in an air fryer, as it requires a minimal amount of oil, while still getting that desirable crispy finish.

“Nathan is well-known for creating inspiring, family-friendly dishes that are healthy, convenient and delicious. This aligns perfectly with our mission to empower consumers in creating tasty meals with ease, and promoting a healthy, balanced lifestyle. With Nathan’s creativity and passion, we are looking forward to inspiring consumers to explore the possibilities of air fryer cooking and cementing Frylight as the go-to cooking spray,” she added.

The focus of the recipes will be to raise awareness of how just a few sprays of Frylight can be used to elevate air fryer cooking, providing consumers with a lighter, tastier and more convenient cooking experience.

The recipes will be made available to consumers through eye-catching social media content, featuring monthly tutorials that will be shared on both Nathan’s and Frylight’s social media channels.

Nathan Antony, a bestselling food writer and cookbook author, gained fame through his Instagram food blog, Bored of Lunch, which has amassed a following of more than two million fans of his easy, delicious and healthy recipes.

“I was already a fan, so this collaboration was a natural choice for me," said Nathan Anthony of the new partnership. "If you own an air fryer but not Frylight then that is a big miss that we are hoping to address with this partnership. I am creating accessible air fryer recipes that can be effortlessly integrated into daily cooking routines, with Frylight at their heart.”

Frylight boasts sales of seven million units in 2023, the equivalent to one bottle sold every five seconds, and holds over 70 per cent volume share of the spray oils sector. The brand has sales of £14m and is bought by almost one in five UK households.
