Gedling shopkeeper threatened with knife

A shopkeeper was threatened with a knife as he attempted to intervene in a theft in his store in Gedling.

The incident happened at a convenience store located on Main Road, Gedling, at around 1.35pm on the afternoon of 15 February, Nottinghamshire Police said.


Nothing was taken and the shopkeeper was unhurt, they added.

Officers have now released CCTV visuals in relation to the incident, saying that the people pictured in the images may have information that will help the investigation.

“This was a frightening incident for the victim and we are determined to track down whoever is responsible. These types of offences are taken extremely seriously by Nottinghamshire Police and we will always be very thoroughly investigated,” Detective Constable Sean Parker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said.

“We believe the people pictured in these images may have information that will help our enquiry and we urge them to come forward.”

Anyone who recognises the people featured in these images is requested to call 101 quoting incident 361 of 15 February.
