Global Brands expands Flare cocktails range

Independent drinks company Global Brands has launched three new flavours to its value canned cocktail brand, Flare, exclusive to independent retailers.

Packed in 70cl bottles, two classic flavours include Passion Fruit Martini and Mojito and introducing a new flavour; Strawberry Daiquiri.

Sales of Flare’s 250ml canned cocktails have soared recently, with the brand now worth £1.1m and growing +27% (value) (Nielsen 52 we 18.04.20) within the impulse channel.

With more than one in five (22%) consumers now drinking cocktails in the on-trade (CGA 2020 - What’s coming in 2020: Spirits), Global Brands has launched Flare into a RTD format to provide consumers looking for sharing size drinks.

Charlie Leaver, senior brand manager at Global Brands, comments: “In such a fast-moving category, we want to ensure continued investment in product innovation, and developing the Flare brand to support retailers in meeting consumer demand is key.

“Flare 70cl provides an affordable larger format sharing serve which consumers are looking for in the RTD cocktail category.

“The new format fits perfectly in the Flare range. There is a clear demand for 70cl RTD’s which we have seen with VK and Hooch, so it felt natural for Flare to follow in the same footsteps, especially following the brands continued growth.”

Flare is currently available to purchase from Bestway, Parfetts, plus many other regional and national wholesalers, price-marked at £2.99.
