Hancocks adds new range of novelty products to kids confectionery selection

Leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks has added brand-new lines to its extensive kids novelty range.

The confectionery experts are encouraging retailers to stock up on the latest novelty products to attract customers and maximise sales.


The new lines are from some of the biggest kids confectionery brands like Crazy Candy Factory, Pez and Sweet Bandit.

Crazy Candy Factory is a popular kids novelty range with pocket money prices and fun ranges.

One of their most exciting lines for 2024 is the Fruity Gummy Noodles RRP £1.29 which also includes candy gel and chopsticks.

Other popular food-themed launches include the Squeezie Hot Dog Pop, Giant Gummy Pizza and Fast Food Big Mix.

The Nickelodeon range, which includes PAW Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Spongebob Squarepants will also see fun new launches in 2024.

Novelty products include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Paw Patrol Candy Pops RRP £1.29 which come in refillable collectables that include strawberry-flavoured lollies.

The PAW Patrol Candy Container and Spongebob Squarepants Candy Container are reusable plastic containers including fruit-flavoured sweets, a sticker and a cable accessory. The containers are retailed for just £1.

Sweet Bandit launches will include Sweet Bandit Soda Razzle, a super fizzy, crunchy candy in cherry cola, lemon lime and orange flavours. The Wicked Dipper is a fruit flavoured lollipop with a sour sherbert dip in cherry, watermelon and purple raspberry.

Wacky Shark and Wacky Monkey fruit flavoured hard candy are also new alongside Flip Phone Pop, Pooplets, Sour Blast and Sour Flush. Super sour sweets are a popular choice with customers with a 50% increase in search queries over the last 12 months.

Pez has exciting launches in 2024 to tie in with big movie and TV releases including Hello Kitty, Star Wars the Mandalorian, Super Mario, Mars Mission, Pez Mojis, The Lion King, Spongebob Squarepants, Disney Princesses, Transformers and Sonic the Hedgehog.

A new range for 2024 is Buildable Surprise. The egg-shaped treat contains fruit-flavoured candy, stickers and a create your own toy inside. The casing can be turned into a car or plane for children to play with. The colourful packaging will ensure this stands out in store.

Hancocks will also be launching a Sweet Vibes premium range this year, with some exciting new flavours, textures and confectionery formats, including brand-new pick-n-mix cups.

“We are very excited to offer a wide variety of kids' novelty lines to retailers in 2024,” Kathryn Hague, head of marketing at Hancocks, said.

“Kids novelty is a very popular market in confectionery and we encourage retailers to stock up on some NPD products that stand out to younger customers with their bright packaging and fun designs.

“These lines will also appeal to the parents because of their low retail prices.

“We have a lot of exciting launches from some of the biggest brands in kids confectionery and we’re happy to help retailers provide their shoppers with the best selection of treats to keep them coming back for more and cater to the demand.

“To further maximise sales, we’re advising retailers to put emphasis on their in-store merchandising by creating attractive displays and placing the kids novelty products near the tills to boost unplanned purchases.”
