Leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks has expanded its range for bakers, adding popular Lotus-Biscoff treats including spread, sauce and crumb to its range as well as popular chocolate miniatures.

Hancocks said it has seen the sales of its bakery products grow over the last year with home bakers turning professional and the demand for baked goods delivered to the door increasing during lockdown.

Lotus Biscoff is the flavour of the moment with the distinctive caramelised taste proving a popular choice.

Lotus Biscoff Crumbs, Topping Sauce and Smooth Spread have all been added to the range at Hancocks.

The Smooth Spread comes in a 1.6kg jar and is perfect for cake and donut toppings with the Topping Sauce ideal for indulgent crepes and waffles.

The Lotus Biscoff Crumbs are the ultimate finishing touch adding crunch and delicious flavour.

Other decorative toppings have also been added to the baking portfolio including Cadbury Crunchie Bits, Nestle Rolo Mini Mix, Nestle Smarties Mini Mix, Nestle Aero Mini Mix and Nestle Milkybar Mini Mix.

New spreads joining the bakery range include the luxurious Lindt Chocolate Spreads in hazelnut and dark chocolate, Snickers Peanut Butter Spread and M&Ms Spreads.

Chris Smith, marketing communications manager at Hancocks, said: “The trend for home baked goods delivered to your door has exploded over the last year and for bakers, finding new and exciting spreads and toppings to stay one step ahead is a must.

“Nothing is too sweet when it comes to cakes, cookies and desserts and indulgence is key, especially if you’re baking for a special birthday, celebration or anniversary.

“Our range in store and online offers bakers everything they need to cook up delicious treats with retro, luxury or just plain good fun toppings and decorations.”
