Leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks is all set to open its newly refurbished store in Sheffield.

The depot has undergone a six-figure refurbishment to freshen up its look and give trade customers a better shopping experience.

Hancocks invited retailers to make the most of offers on the relaunch day, 18 July, including significant savings on top brands, as well as opportunities to participate in competitions with chances to win great prizes.

The refurbishment is part of the company’s improvement initiative that has rolled out across all 14 Hancocks stores across the UK.

To improve the customer journey, the confectionery wholesalers have made it easier for new customers to navigate the stores by implementing clear external signage, directional signs in store, branded aisles and specialist areas.

The store has dedicated sections for bestsellers, new products, vegan sweets, multi-buy options, kids novelty, sweet deals, and clearance.

These sections are clearly marked with new headers and banners, making it easy for retailers to locate products.

Additionally, popular brands have their own branded areas with promotional screens, display examples and branded baseboards showcasing their offers.

Retailers also receive merchandising advice and inspiration from the well-stocked aisles in the depot, providing ideas for product displays in their own stores.

The depot now also has a welcome board with a QR code showcasing all current offers, the boxed products now have a ‘look what’s in the box’ label and there are clearly designated till points with a marketing screen and a ‘thank you for shopping with us’ sign which also invites customers to shop online.

On the relaunch day, retailers can expect huge savings across big brands, novelty products, pick n mix and drinks.

Retailers can take advantage of a double discount on the Kingsway multi-buy pick n mix deal, with sweet savings starting from only ten Kingsway units.

Free Vidal Dipper Max chew bars are also given to every customer who purchases on the day.

Retailers who are looking to add new lines and brands to their ranges can sample products and meet reps from popular brands including Mondelez, Bazooka, Haribo, Walker’s Non Such and Seabrook.

The confectionery wholesalers are also inviting trade shoppers to take part in a competition where they have a chance to win 2 x £250 Amazon voucher and a 50” TV.

“We are thrilled to unveil our newly refurbished Sheffield depot to our valued customers,” Jonathan Summerley, chief operating officer at Hancocks said.

“This upgrade represents our commitment to providing an enhanced shopping experience and improving the customer journey for our new and existing shoppers.

“Our Sheffield trade customers can expect a more efficient, welcoming environment and easy navigation from the moment they enter until they reach the checkout.

“To mark the relaunch of the depot, we’re hosting a special event for our customers that includes unmissable deals on big brands, sampling opportunities and chances to win big prizes.

“The whole team is looking forward to welcoming everyone to our fresh new depot and discover the many improvements we've made to better serve their needs.”
