Hancocks announces next Sweetest Day event

Sweetest Day in-store event with deals on chocolate, pick and mix and novelty sweets

Next Sweetest Day event will take place on 8 May at all 14 depots of Hancocks

Following the success of their March event, Hancocks has announced its next in-store and online Sweetest Day event.

The UK’s leading confectionery wholesaler has been running the deal-focused events for three years, offering depot and online customers outstanding one day deals and a chance to find out about new product launches.


The next event will be taking place on Thursday, 8 May from 8am to 8pm at all 14 depots across the UK, with deals available both in-store and online.

Sponsored by Mondelēz International, the one-day extravaganza will showcase deals on big name brands including Cadbury, Coca Cola, Haribo and Swizzels.

The event is designed to celebrate independent retailers and encourage customers to stock up, with over 200 unmissable deals on display, and free samples and prizes up for grabs.

Independence and convenience retailers looking to stock up on popular Cadbury lines, including Flake, Crunchi and Twirls bars, can save £7.00 on the 48 piece Cadbury Countlines, Hancocks said.

Retailers can make savings when buying exciting novelty lines from the Kidsmania range, with £1.50 off a range of products.

Hancocks’ wide range of pick and mix favourites are also available as part of the Sweetest Day deals. Customers can save £1.20 off a range of the Candy Realms Tubs, including Twin Cherries, Fizzy Strawberries, Sour Worms, Mini Dolphins and Mini Fried Eggs.

The Kingsway pick and mix double deal will allow customers to buy 10+ bags and save 40p per bag, or buy 20+ bags and save £1 per bag.

Customers can also make savings on popular Haribo lines, with £1.80 off best-selling price-marked-packs including Happy Cola, Tangfastics, Jelly Babies, Milkshakes, Jelly Beans and Goldbears.

Retailers looking to expand their American confectionery range can save on popular Jolly Rancher products, with £1.00 off Jolly Rancher Ice Pops.

Retailers who spend £150 or more will receive over £45 (RPP) of free stock.

“Our Sweetest Day events are a big hit with customers who are able to take advantage of some great deals, sample some exciting new products and speak to brand representatives,” Kathryn Hague, head of marketing at Hancocks, said.

“We’re encouraging customers to get down to the store and take advantage of everything we’re offering. As well as stocking up on products, it’s also a chance to find out about new launches and try them, pick up tips on merchandising to maximise sales and see the breadth of the offering here at Hancocks.

“The deals are truly too good to be missed, across a range of pick and mix, novelty and impulse must-haves so we’re hoping to see lots of familiar and new faces to take advantage of everything we’re offering.”
