Haribo launches ‘spooktacular’ countdown to Halloween

Haribo launches ‘spooktacular’ countdown to Halloween

Haribo said independent retailers can count on them this Halloween as it announced a campaign aimed at helping shoppers to have the biggest and best Halloween yet.

Delivering tricks to enjoy alongside Haribo treats, including its selection of seasonal lines and all year-round family favourites, the brand has called upon 13 influencers to become #TeamHalloween and create hacks, tips, makes, bakes and pranks to get the countdown started.

“Halloween 2021 falls on a weekend, so we are helping our shoppers plan for a spooktacular, Sunday celebration,” Claire James, trade marketing manager at Haribo, commented. “Our range perfectly supports all shopper missions this season, whether shopping for parties, trick or treating, or simply to share a scarily good treat with others.”

James urged retailers to join the Haribo Halloween Countdown by stocking key lines.

“We’re adding further support to drive excitement and engagement, by recruiting 13 talented content creators. Together they are our #TeamHalloween. They will share their hacks and ideas while encouraging HARIBO fans to join the team to help us all have the biggest and best Halloween yet,” she added.

Halloween Campaign Haribo 2

The Haribo Halloween Countdown has been launched by Ladbaby’s Mark Hoyle, who promises a cauldron full of pranks for anyone looking for some frightful fun.

Each influencer will also share content across their social channels, reaching a wider audience and inviting others to share their suggestions using the hashtag #TeamHalloween.

The campaign, which will be driven by social and PR amplification, will also focus on Haribo’s seasonal lines, which have returned to store to join the brands family favourites.

Haribo’s 2021 line-up includes Scaremix and TangfasTricks share bags, alongside Trick or Treat mini multipacks. All year-round products that also help to create the perfect potion for parties and trick or treaters are Starmix Minis and Share the Happy multipacks.

Scaremix combines the five iconic pieces found in Starmix with seasonal flavours including toffee apple Eggs and blood orange Bottles. Meanwhile shoppers won’t know if they are going to get a trick or a treat with TangfasTricks and its tangy and super sour pieces!

Haribo Trick or Treat contains a spell-binding mix of sweets. Here you will find bats, broomsticks, frogs and spider-shaped pieces in pre-portioned mini bags.

Popular Halloween treats also include Starmix Minis and Share the Happy, which brings together mini packs of Haribo’s top sellers – Starmix, Tangfastics, Supermix and Giant Strawbs Gone Mini.

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

As December rapidly approaches, Pernod Ricard UK is ramping up its festive marketing efforts, anticipating a resurgence in consumer confidence after a challenging year. The UK’s second-largest wine and spirits supplier is set to inspire consumers to choose Premium+ Spirits as the perfect gift or the ultimate addition to any home celebration. Throughout 2024, Premium+ Spirits have consistently outperformed Standard offerings, making this higher end of the sector a vital margin driver.

“Since last Christmas, consumer confidence has been on the rise and the outlook for the final month of 2024 is positive," said Chris Shead, Off-Trade Channel Director for Pernod Ricard UK. "Gifting and hosting remain two key trends and retailers should focus on increasing space in-store for Premium Spirits that act as the perfect gift or cocktail ingredient when wanting to show off in front of friends and family. Where possible, we encourage retailers to prioritise categories that have been capturing the hearts of consumers and this year, our big winners have been Altos Tequila, Kahlúa and Bumbu Rum, and we expect our Champagnes, G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouët, to be the toast of choice for festive parties this year.”
