Human Nature commits one per cent of all sales to environmental causes 

Vegan snacks brand Human Nature said it has joined 1% for the Planet, an international organisation whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual revenue to environmental causes to protect the environment.

“We joined 1% for the Planet because our mission is to make delicious plant-based foods that support social and environmental causes. We are excited to be part of a network of businesses that share our company values and make a difference altogether,” Bobby Patel, founder of Human Nature, said.


“We want to make net-positive snacking the norm, in fact every time you purchase our snacks, we offset our entire production process by removing one ocean-bound bottle for every pack sold and by planting new forests. We are delighted to donate also one per cent of our sales to 1% for the Planet Impact Fund to leave a positive legacy. We are ready to drive true on-the-ground change within six core issue areas: climate, food, land, pollution, water, and wildlife.”

Kate Williams, chief executive of 1% for the Planet, said: “Currently, only three per cent of total philanthropy goes to the environment and, only five per cent of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of business members are doing vital work to increase a real action. We're excited to welcome Human Nature to our global movement.”

1% for the Planet members have raised over $435 million (£350m) to support environmental partners around the globe. Partners are vetted and approved based on referrals, track record and environmental focus.
