Hyperama Wholesale has announced the sale of its Peterborough depot to London based Holland Bazaar Cash and Carry.

The latest move follows Hyperama’s sale of its foodservice delivered business Tiger Foods to Giro Foods early this month.

“The sale of our Peterborough depot, which predominantly supports foodservice customers, is part of our ongoing plan to consolidate our operations to focus on retail,” Marcus Singh, manging director of Hyperama, said.

“Peterborough is a predominantly foodservice led depot, and as such Holland Bazaar is well placed to take the reins, giving my team and I the ability to focus on our retail business from our Nottingham and West Bromwich depots.”

Commenting, John Kinney, managing director of buying group Unitas Wholesale, said: “I look forward to working with Marcus and the Hyperama team now on their strategy to consolidate and focus on retail operations out of their Nottingham and West Bromwich depots. Marcus was a longstanding member of Landmark and a former board member of Unitas, and I look forward to supporting them on this journey.”

Holland Bazaar currently has three depots in Croydon, Enfield and Edmonton.
