innocent drinks launches new straws across kids range

innocent drinks has today launched a new range of stronger straws across its portfolio of kids’ smoothies and juice ranges.

The change comes as part of innocent drinks’ continued product development focus to ensure it’s responding to consumer needs and feedback.

“Following some feedback received from parents regarding the durability of our straws, we wanted to find a way to improve the product and by doing so we’ve made it even easier for kids to get one of their five a day through our drinks,” said Charlotte Wright, Kids Ranges Brand Manager at innocent drinks

The straws are still made from paper but are now 50 per cent stronger and less likely to bend and break compared to the previous straw. The force needed to pierce through the wedge is also 40 per cent less, meaning the tip is less likely to become blunt. Both changes will help to make the drinks much easier for kids to consume while remaining 100 per cent recyclable. All new paper straws will be on shelf from Mid-April.

The news comes only a few months after the drinks company launched its new Blueberry Whizz kids range which was accredited the “Good Choice” badge as part of the Better Health Families campaign, so parents know they are making a healthy decision for their family.
