Jack Link's creates limited-edition sauce to turn up the heat on world Jerky Day

Jack Link's creates limited-edition sauce to turn up the heat on world Jerky Day

World Jerky Day on June 12 celebrates the history, growing popularity and nutritional benefits of Jerky – the perfect opportunity to try new Jerky flavours.

To celebrate World Jerky Day, Jack Link’s has created a limited-edition sauce to complement its staple Beef Jerky and help Brits power through the afternoon dip.

Jack Link’s range of Beef Jerky is ideal for those looking to incorporate more protein into their diets. At less than 80 calories per serving, this protein-packed snack will help you power through the afternoon at home, at work or on the go.

Available in a selection of flavours including Original, Sweet & Hot and Teriyaki (RRP £1.75 per 25g pack), Jack Link’s range of lean Beef Jerky has become a go-to for afternoon snackers, and the new sauce is here to ramp up the heat and elevate the flavour sensation this World Jerky Day.

The new sauce development follows a recent survey of 2,000 respondents, revealing that over 46 per cent of Brits are often looking for new ways to enjoy their snacks, since many have become bored of their usual, dry and bland afternoon bites.

In fact, 73 per cent of those polled prefer to pair their favourite snacks with a dip or sauce, with crisps (43 per cent), meat snacks (37 per cent) and crackers (29 per cent) voted as the most popular snacks to dip!

Fruity, zingy, with a kick of chilli, the new and unique Jack Link’s sauce is ideal for those who want to turn up the heat. With absolutely no refined sugar, the sauce offers a natural sweetness from touches of lime and pineapple, as well as a thicker consistency to perfectly complement Jack Link’s Jerky.

Perfect for the afternoon snacking occasion when hunger strikes, the new limited-edition sauce will become a go-to pairing with Jack Link’s Jerky, as well as a wider range of snacks.

In fact, some of the main reasons respondents cited for having a dip with their snacks included complementing the snack (23 per cent), enhancing the flavour of the snack (20 per cent), and finding new interesting flavour combinations exciting (11 per cent).

To get involved in the action this World Jerky Day, Jack Link’s will be surprising more than 20,000 Brits with free samples of the best Beef Jerky available in the UK market.

The brand is also offering Brits the chance to win a bespoke box containing the full Jack Link’s Jerky range, as well as a limited-edition sauce to pair.

To enter, simply follow the @Jacklinksuk Instagram page, like the post and tag a friend to be in with the chance of winning.

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

As December rapidly approaches, Pernod Ricard UK is ramping up its festive marketing efforts, anticipating a resurgence in consumer confidence after a challenging year. The UK’s second-largest wine and spirits supplier is set to inspire consumers to choose Premium+ Spirits as the perfect gift or the ultimate addition to any home celebration. Throughout 2024, Premium+ Spirits have consistently outperformed Standard offerings, making this higher end of the sector a vital margin driver.

“Since last Christmas, consumer confidence has been on the rise and the outlook for the final month of 2024 is positive," said Chris Shead, Off-Trade Channel Director for Pernod Ricard UK. "Gifting and hosting remain two key trends and retailers should focus on increasing space in-store for Premium Spirits that act as the perfect gift or cocktail ingredient when wanting to show off in front of friends and family. Where possible, we encourage retailers to prioritise categories that have been capturing the hearts of consumers and this year, our big winners have been Altos Tequila, Kahlúa and Bumbu Rum, and we expect our Champagnes, G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouët, to be the toast of choice for festive parties this year.”
