JJ Foodservice launches sushi and Japanese range

National wholesaler JJ Foodservice has launched a new range of products aimed specifically at the fast-growing Japanese sushi market.

Available now across the UK, products available include soy sauce, gyoza, pickled ginger and tempura batter to Japanese beer, noodles, mochi and more.

Chief products officer at JJ Foodservice, Sezer Ozkul, said: “We want to support the independent sector to cater for the UK’s growing appetite for more affordable, quality sushi.”

More than 200 new sushi products are highlighted in a new Sushi & Japanese Product brochure, together with hundreds of best-selling existing products for sushi restaurants.

The wholesaler said its point of difference is being able to offer many sushi essentials in just one place.

A staggering 40% of UK Japanese restaurants struggle to find a supplier that can cover their ‘total shopping basket’, according to JJ’s independent research *.

“We want to improve service and convenience – as well as offer quality products, competitively priced”, said Sezer.

Over a fifth of outlets (22%*) also said that ‘late or lengthy deliveries’ were impacting their business.

JJ Foodservice offers same-day collection or next day delivery** on all products, with a same day delivery available in parts of London. Orders can be placed in seconds using the JJ app or website.

“We look forward to bringing our first-class service to this vibrant sector.” Sezer added.
