JTI unveils retailer giveaway to celebrate 150 years of Benson and Hedges

JTI unveils retailer giveaway to celebrate 150 years of Benson and Hedges

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has launched ‘Great £150 Giveaway’ for retailers in celebration of Benson and Hedges 150 year anniversary this year.

Hosted on the new dedicated Benson and Hedges trade microsite, 50 retailers will each have the chance to win £150 each to celebrate this special anniversary.

All retailers need to do is simply log on to JTI Advance with their username and password and they can discover details on how to enter the prize draw with full terms and conditions. Winners will be picked fortnightly at random from the 30 June until 11 of August, any entry not selected as a winner will be placed into the next draw.

From its humble beginnings in Bond Street, the brand has a proud history of delivering exceptional craftsmanship and unique rich tasting with signature British class since 1873. Benson & Hedges has continued to focus on providing retailers with a trustworthy brand that gives existing adult smokers complete confidence in the quality of their tobacco choice.

With innovation at the forefront, last year, JTI responded to the growing demand for ultra-value tobacco with Benson and Hedges Blue Rolling – joining the already successful Blue, Silver, and Gold ready-made cigarette formats.

“We couldn’t be prouder to have reached this extraordinary anniversary and still have such a successful brand that retailers can rely on to provide their customers with great quality cigarettes and rolling tobacco,” Mark McGuinness, marketing director at JTI UK, commented.

“It’s important for us to celebrate the brand’s heritage, but we know our success is also down to the support of our retailers throughout the years. So, in this very special year, we want to shine a light on our trade partners and this prize draw is just one way of giving back and thanking retailers, with other activities to follow later in the year too. We want to continue looking forward for this heritage brand and can’t wait to see what the next 150 years of Benson and Hedges brings.”

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
