JUUL unveils new menthol JUULpods

JUUL Labs has announced the launch of a new menthol flavour JUULpod.

Menthol JUULpods will go on sale in approved retailers later this month, ahead of the ban on menthol cigarettes which takes effect on 20 May.

The latest addition joins Glacier Mint, Mango Nectar, Golden Tobacco and Alpine Berry flavours in JUUL Labs’ UK portfolio. The leading vaping brand said the launch will offer smokers a wider range of alternatives to combustible cigarettes.

“JUUL Labs’ focus is to provide adult smokers with an alternative to combustible cigarettes, and combating underage use of our products,” said John Patterson, sales director at JUUL Labs UK.

“Smokers should first and foremost try and give up combustible cigarettes – but if they can’t or won’t, it is critically important to provide access to potentially less harmful nicotine products.”

Patterson added that access to and accurate information about alternatives to combustible cigarettes is critical for adult smokers who cannot or will not cease using nicotine.

“With electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), adult smokers have a choice of flavours and a range of alternative options that may help them transition away from combustible cigarettes. Indeed JUUL Labs and the ENDS category exist to help end the era of combustible cigarettes,” he said.

“As smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death around the world, this goal is critical, and ENDS can play a pivotal role in achieving it. To be clear, the best choice any person can make is to refrain from consuming any nicotine product.”

Menthol JUULpods will be available beginning in April with a 4 pack on sale at a RRP of £10.99.
