Kestrel Beer launches new Saison and Whisky Porter

Kestrel Beer launches new Saison and Whisky Porter

The award-winning Kestrel Beer brand has announced two exceptional new small batch brews – a Scottish nettle and seasonal elderflower Saison, and a Whisky Porter. Kestrel was acquired in 2012 by Nigel McNally, founder, and CEO of Brookfield Drinks Ltd.

"We are thrilled to introduce these new additions to our line-up, brewed in collaboration with Humber Doucy Brewing Company" said McNally. "As a bold brand, the Seasonal Elderflower and Scottish Nettle Saison and our Whisky Porter brewed in aged Scottish whisky barrels showcase our dedication to develop interesting and exciting properties that communicate the originality and personality of a beer that’s been enjoyed since the 1980s.

“We believe these releases will resonate with our loyal patrons and newcomers alike, inviting them to experience the boldly crafted premium brews,” he added.

Kestrel Saison is a celebration of the traditional Belgian pale ale, crafted with passion, the refreshing and light beer has citrus notes and a delicate spiced floral hop character. Brewed with Scottish nettles and seasonal elderflower for a unique and enjoyable flavour, this refreshing 4.5 per cent ABV brew is a perfect embodiment of Kestrel's commitment to boldly pushing the boundaries of flavour and craftsmanship. Kestrel Saison has a RRP of £3.

Kestrel's 6.8 per cent ABV Whisky Porter, aged in Scottish Whisky barrels, is highly roasted, offering rich nut, chocolate, and deep coffee notes. With a full-bodied profile and a dry finish accompanied by a mild malt overtone, Kestrel Whisky Porter is a must-try for connoisseurs and beer enthusiasts alike. Kestrel Whisky Porter has a RRP of £3.25

In addition to this, the Kestrel beer range has been extended to introduce two other products alongside the iconic Kestel Super Premium lager: Kestrel Premium, 4.6 per cent ABV at a RRP of £1.50 and Kestrel Extra Premium, seven per cent ABV at a RRP of £1.95. Kestrel continues to be one of the most enjoyed British lager brands and is achieving strong sales performance in the UK off-trade and in international markets.
