KETTLE Chips launches two new ‘adventurous’ SKUs

KETTLE Chips launches two new ‘adventurous’ SKUs

With 36 per cent of consumers ‘looking for new and adventurous flavours’, the leading hand-cooked crisp brand, KETTLE Chips has added two innovative new seasonings to its expanding range: Sriracha Mayo and Dill Pickle & Jalapeño.

The street food inspired Sriracha Mayo seasoning combines the on-trend foodie desire for the fiery heat of Sriracha chilli sauce with the rich creaminess of mayonnaise, whilst Dill Pickle & Jalapeño plays on the growing demand for adventurous and spicy taste sensations, with a tangier and zesty flavour profile inspired by KETTLE’s US roots.

Showcasing the brand’s extension into livelier, trend-led flavour profiles, the new seasonings have been created using bold and unique combinations from around the world and are designed to take consumers’ taste buds on a culinary journey. Both SKUs will launch as Sharing Bags into Waitrose from mid-April, with further grocery and impulse listings from May onwards.

“With consumers looking to explore new and interesting flavours within the crisp category, we couldn’t be more delighted to share the two new seasonings Chef Phil has developed,” Russell Tanner, marketing director for KETTLE Chips, said.

“By offering something a little unexpected from KETTLE, and with the fantastic support of our wider experiential activity, it’s a very exciting time for the brand.”

The brand is supporting the launch with a fully interactive consumer-facing activation. Taking place in Shoreditch this April, the experiential KETTLE Chips Escape Room will offer a unique and completely free chance for consumers to immersive themselves in a sensory voyage of discovery to explore the new KETTLE Chips’ seasonings.

The brand will also be supporting the launch by investing in ATL and shopper support, to drive awareness and trial of the new seasonings.

KETTLE said the new launches achieved fantastic reviews in its latest consumer research. As with all KETTLE Chips, these new seasonings are made using 100% real food ingredients and use only British potatoes, cooked to perfection in small batches to deliver the brand’s signature crunch.

Heloise Le Norcy-Trott, Group Marketing Director for Lactalis UK & Ireland explains: “After two years of contracted volume sales the cheese category has an opportunity to regain momentum. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, these are the cheese trends we think retailers should be aware of.”
