Kick off summer sales with new Lucozade Sport shopper soccer promotion

Kick off summer sales with new Lucozade Sport shopper soccer promotion

Lucozade Sport is partnering with The Football Association this summer to bring both shoppers and retailers the chance to win a host of fantastic football prizes – all while kick-starting summer sports drink sales.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience begins with an England team training session at St George’s Park to get game-ready, as well as pitch-side access prior to an international match with full hospitality and signed merchandise.

What’s more, for every entry received, Lucozade Sport will be donating 10p to Football Beyond Borders (FBB). FBB are an education and social inclusion charity that uses the power of football to change the lives of disadvantaged young people, helping them to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential through sport. The money raised by Lucozade Sport will enable the charity to hire new project leads, helping to deliver more grassroot campaigns and educate the next generation of athletes.

Additionally, because retailers are at the heart of their communities, Lucozade Sport is also running a competition just for them. By scanning the QR code on PoS material in depot when buying any case of Lucozade Sport, retailers can win a full football kit for their community. With exclusive Lucozade Sport-branded player kits as well as push-up bars, resistance kites, skipping ropes, cones and more, this exclusive prize contains everything your local team needs to train, play and score together!

Lucozade Sport has a long-standing history of partnering with some of the UK’s biggest sporting events and athletes. This new promotion follows on from previous successful collaborations with Anthony Joshua and England’s national football teams.

“2022 is set to be a fantastic year for sport and as the UK’s number one selling sports drink, we wanted to bring something special to retailers’ stores to help them make the most of the sporting occasion this season," said Tom Bell, Head of Marketing for Lucozade Sport at Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I. "Our partnership with The FA and summer activation is incredibly exciting and we’ve got money-can’t-buy prizes and experiences up for grabs for both retailers and shoppers!

“Lucozade Sport helps to bring people together through the power of sport and that’s a goal shared by Football Beyond Borders and the important work they do with young people.” he added.

The consumer text-to-win promotion will be highlighted in store by impactful PoS materials encouraging shoppers to simply text "WIN" to 62123 for their chance of winning the Ultimate Football Experience for them and a friend.

The promotion will be live on point-of-sale materials in store until the end of July. The campaign will also be supported by PR and advertising activity including social media and online content to make it unmissable to shoppers and help retailers to drive visibility and sales of the Lucozade Sport range during the summer football season and beyond!

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
