Kingsway celebrates 60th birthday with brand refresh

Kingsway celebrates 60th birthday with brand refresh

Pick and mix brand favourite Kingsway has been given a new look to tie in with its 60th birthday celebrations.

The leading range of pick and mix confectionery is stocked by Hancocks in its depots across the country and online.

Founded in 1962, the brand has since introduced jelly, foam, chocolate and hard candy pick and mix to retailers and their customers.

“The Kingsway logo hasn’t been refreshed for a decade so now is the perfect time to give it a new, modern look and mark the brand's 60th birthday,” Chris Smith, Marketing Communications Manager at Hancocks, said.

“This is a popular range for Hancocks both in store and online. It’s recognised for its top quality and supplying products retailers can rely on.

The logo has been updated changing from a jester crown to a royal crown with the founding year added to emphasise its longevity in the confectionery market.

Product types have been given their own colours to make navigation and recognition easier - both for retailers and their customers.

Kingsway has also recently launched the largest range of seasonal Halloween and Christmas pick and mix to retailers.

Kingsway will also be introducing a new premium range, labelled ‘Experts Choice’, easily identifiable by a gold crown and logo.

“The Experts Choice range will be coming soon and will take that one step further with the very best premium products for retailers and their customers to enjoy. Appealing to shoppers across the UK,” Smith added.

Gnaw ‘new-stalgia’: pud-themed Chocolate Spoons and flavoured choc bars

Tapping into “new-stalgia” (an anticipated hot food trend in 2025), Gnaw has been working tirelessly to rethink Great British puddings by creating a number of “Hug in a Mug” classics (Crème Brulée, Bakewell Tart, Sticky Toffee Pud) in conjunction with an impressive “pudfolio” of dessert-flavoured bars: New York Cheesecake, Christmas Pudding, Banoffee Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Desserts may prove divisive. For many the last course will always be a fitting finale to a great meal spent with friends of family, enticing comfort food that offers a nostalgic peek into happy custard drenched, ice cream topped memories from yesteryear. For others, desserts are an unwitting dalliance with guilt-filled soft sponges, buttery pastry, seductively sweet fillings, crumbly toppings, sticky sauces …
