Knife armed man wanted for Duntocher shop robbery attempt

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man attempted to rob a shop worker at knifepoint in Scotland.

The incident took place at Stevie’s Super Save on Beeches Road, Duntocher at around 10.30 today (Thursday, July 23).


Shortly after entering the store, the robber demanded money from the member of staff before fleeing empty handed after being refused.

Despite being uninjured, the member of staff has been left badly shaken.

The man responsible is described as white, and in his late teens to early twenties, wearing black clothing and a black face covering pulled up over his mouth and nose.

Detective Constable Imran Abuzar of Clydebank Police Station said: “We are currently carrying out enquiries in the area and gathering CCTV footage to establish more information on this incident and trace the man responsible.

“I am urging anyone who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has information that will assist our investigation to contact detectives at Clydebank through.”
