KP Snacks extends Nik Naks brand with new 45g grab-bag

KP Snacks announced today that it is expanding its Nik Naks range with the launch of its popular Rib ‘N’ Saucy variant in a 45g Grab Bag. Rolling into stores from the end of January, the new launch capitalises on the popularity of Nik Naks as KP Snacks’ fastest-growing brand in 2023 (+47.2 per cent YOY) and number-one Everyday Value brand.

The Nik Naks brand appeals to consumers with 86 per cent of shoppers looking for value. As the cost of living remains high, consumers seek out affordable treats from familiar brands and Nik Naks offers a trusted snacking option which creates a sense of nostalgia in shoppers.

The new launch combines the success of Rib ‘N’ Saucy as the second most popular Nik Naks flavour, worth nearly £12m RSV, and the Grab Bag format which continues to perform well within the Convenience and Impulse market. Offering a delicious snack with meaty flavours, the new Nik Naks Grab Bag caters to Food to Go missions which are growing strongly +14.7 per cent.

“We are thrilled to be launching Rib ‘N’ Saucy in a Grab Bag format, expanding the Nik Naks range which is one of our fastest-growing brands and our number one Everyday Value brand,” said Trading Director Matt Collins. “We are committed to delivering great tasting products and value to our consumers, while also offering the right products in the right formats to drive core ranges and sales for our retail trade partners.”

Worth £46.9m, the Nik Naks range features three distinctive flavours including Rib ‘N’ Spicy, Nice ‘N’ Spicy, and Scampi ‘N’ Lemon.

Nik Naks Rib ‘N’ Saucy 45g Grab Bags have an RRP of £1.00.

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

As December rapidly approaches, Pernod Ricard UK is ramping up its festive marketing efforts, anticipating a resurgence in consumer confidence after a challenging year. The UK’s second-largest wine and spirits supplier is set to inspire consumers to choose Premium+ Spirits as the perfect gift or the ultimate addition to any home celebration. Throughout 2024, Premium+ Spirits have consistently outperformed Standard offerings, making this higher end of the sector a vital margin driver.

“Since last Christmas, consumer confidence has been on the rise and the outlook for the final month of 2024 is positive," said Chris Shead, Off-Trade Channel Director for Pernod Ricard UK. "Gifting and hosting remain two key trends and retailers should focus on increasing space in-store for Premium Spirits that act as the perfect gift or cocktail ingredient when wanting to show off in front of friends and family. Where possible, we encourage retailers to prioritise categories that have been capturing the hearts of consumers and this year, our big winners have been Altos Tequila, Kahlúa and Bumbu Rum, and we expect our Champagnes, G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouët, to be the toast of choice for festive parties this year.”
