Kraft Heinz renames two iconic sauces in honour of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

In celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 70th year on the throne, Kraft Heinz is renaming two of Britain’s best loved condiments, Heinz Salad Cream and Heinz HP Sauce. This is the first time these brands will have a brand-new look. From 3 May "HM Sauce" and "Heinz Salad Queen", will be available in all major food retailers until supplies last.

According to a recent poll, one-fifth of British consumers are planning to complete a meal with either Heinz HP Sauce or Heinz Salad Cream over the Jubilee period. As both sauces have been loved by consumers through the duration of the Queen’s reign, these limited-edition packages are positioned to play a nostalgic role in consumer celebrations.

Research shows that 48 per cent of Brits say that the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will present a fun opportunity to eat more British food. HM Sauce and Heinz Salad Queen are expected to feature as the focal point of quintessentially British dishes served over the Jubilee period.

“Heinz Salad Cream and HP Sauce are two cupboard staples that have remained firm consumer favourites over the decades," said Anke von Hanstein, Senior Brand Manager for Heinz Sauces. "At Heinz we are excited that two of our historic and iconic sauces have now been renamed to align with one of the nation’s most momentous occasions. HM Sauce and Heinz Salad Queen will be at the centre of Jubilee parties, picnics and parades, celebrating all-things British over the Bank Holiday weekend. This is a great opportunity for our retail partners to capitalise on the occasion and uplift sales of best-selling brands, HP Sauce and Heinz Salad Cream.”
