Nisa retailer, LA Foods, is continuing to grow its community engagement through its ongoing collaboration with Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity.

To date, LA Foods has contributed over £100,000 to local charities and organisations through MADL, showing their dedication to making a lasting impact in the community.

LA Foods, under the stewardship of the Hussain family who own multiple Nisa stores across London, has been a part of the MADL initiative for over 15 years.

This partnership has been instrumental in supporting various local causes, from educational programs and youth groups to community centres. LA Foods also donate a portion of its sales to foster local development.

LA Foods donated £5,000 recently to the Young Camden Foundation. Tabrez chose this charity due to his commitment to investing in the next generation. LA Foods has actively supported youth engagement initiatives, particularly focusing on sports and recreational activities that promote teamwork and healthy lifestyles among young people.

The funding has helped organise sports tournaments, refurbish local sports facilities, and provide equipment that might otherwise be unaffordable for community groups, fostering a positive and community.

The community has positively received the Hussain family’s approach, which combines high-quality retail operations with ongoing community support.

“Our commitment through MADL has enabled us to support our community where it matters most, making a real difference in the lives of our local residents,” Tabrez Hussain said.

With a recently renewed five-year partnership with Nisa, LA Foods is well positioned to continue its community focused initiatives. “We believe in giving more than just value through our products; it’s about creating an enriching environment that extends into our community through initiatives like MADL,” Tabrez said.

Tabrez adds, “Our long-standing relationship with Nisa and MADL has not only helped us in maintaining high operational standards but also in reinforcing our bonds with the community. We are more than a retail space; we are a part of our local community”.

Kate Carroll, head of charity at Nisa, said, “LA Foods are amazing retailers to work with for MADL and I’m delighted to see them reach the £100,000 milestone through MADL donations.

LA Foods have taken huge strides in their community programme over the past few years and they frequently engage with their communities to provide funding to those who need it most. Huge congratulations to all the team at LA Foods and we look forward to working with you on future MADL donations in the coming months and years.”
