Lambrini unveils new RTD cans

Leading perry brand Lambrini has announced the launch of its first ever RTD cans.

Available in four fruit flavours, Mango, Strawberry, Cherry and Rhubarb, the new additions to the line-up aim to cater to the growing consumer demand for convenience.

“As we approach the spring/summer season, convenient drinks formats for barbeques and picnics are key. Our new range of ready to drink Lambrini cans, with their line-up of much loved fruity flavours is perfect for tapping into this opportunity,” commented Graeme Sharp, brand manager at Lambrini.

With a 4% ABV, 99 calories and just £1.50 per can, the brand targets those who are looking for lower alcohol, lower calorie options at an attractive price.

“From the fantastic reaction that we’ve had from shoppers both for the return of our Cherry and Strawberry flavours and the launch of Mango and Rhubarb & Ginger flavours towards the end of last year, we’re confident that this exciting new offering will provide retailers with a significant sales opportunity as shoppers continue to seek out convenient, great tasting alternatives to prosecco and fruity wines at a really accessible price point,” Sharp added.

All four Lambrini RTD cans are available to order now. RRP £1.50, ABV 4%.

Walkers Limited-Edition Extra Flamin’ Hot out now for January

Following the successful launch of PepsiCo’s Extra Flamin’ Hot range last year, the brand is set to build upon the momentum and bring the heat to Britain’s most loved crisps this January. A limited-edition variant, Walkers Extra Flamin’ Hot will join the existing Walkers MAX, Doritos and Wotsits Crunchy line-up, available for eight weeks only.

In fact, the hot and spicy flavour segment has grown +8.7 per cent YoY, presenting a significant trend for retailers to leverage through their Crisps, Snacks and Nuts offering. PepsiCo’s existing Extra Flamin’ Hot range is a key player in driving this growth, having generated £22.1m RSV since launch.

Kerry Cavanaugh, general manager at Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats, says: “The real driver of our multipack performance was the roll out of our new four pack Bounty, Twix and Maltesers ice cream bars, suggesting consumers are increasingly buying ice cream for at home consumption as a dessert or treat, rather than on the go.
