Loo-K out for the Cheeky Panda’s leading sustainable bamboo range at NOPE 2023

Loo-K out for the Cheeky Panda’s leading sustainable bamboo range at NOPE 2023

Sustainable personal care, baby and beauty brand The Cheeky Panda, will be unveiling a new range of 9-pack toilet tissues at this year’s Natural & Organic Products Europe (NOPE) show, April 16 – 17, London ExCeL.

The new 3-ply, 160 sheet range of The Cheeky Panda Sustainable Bamboo Toilet Tissue will be available to the trade in the following variants: Luxury Quilted, Natural Colour and Silky Soft.

Made with fast-growing, 100 per cent biodegradable, FSC certified bamboo, The Cheeky Panda Sustainable Bamboo Toilet Tissue range offers an ideal bathroom solution for consumers looking to reduce their carbon footprint. The new range – which also supports the vital work of WWF through a donation for every pack sold – helps shoppers save around 0.475kg of carbon per nine-pack, and approximately 8.4g of plastic versus a toilet tissue made of traditional tree-based pulp!

As well as unveiling the launch and inspiring show visitors to swap traditional paper and plastic based products for bamboo alternatives, the full retail range will be on display giving retailers a look at how they can capitalise on the growing demand for sustainable products. This includes the brand’s first-ever UK-made product, new Biodegradable Anti-Bacterial Multi-Surface Cleaning Wipes which launched last month.

“In recent independent health store trials, we found that showcasing the variety of the range is imperative to increasing sales," said Alex Winyard, UK FMCG Sales Manager. "So much so that one store reported that, with the FSDU in place, overall sales of The Cheeky Panda products increased close to 200 per cent, with another store reporting sales growth reached double that versus before the FSDU was used.”

Louise Bittleston, Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager at WWF-UK, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Cheeky Panda on their Bamboo Toilet Tissue. Our two brands are so beautifully aligned and the work that The Cheeky Panda are doing to be as sustainable as possible is admirable and makes them a great fit for a partnership with us. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in this and to everyone who purchases the products, the money raised through the toilet tissue will help us in bringing our world back to life and creating a future where people and nature can thrive together.”

Interested retailers will be able to place orders for the new toilet tissue range via the wholesale channel from May 2023. To find your nearest wholesaler stockist, please get in touch with The Cheeky Panda team: tradesales@cheekypanda.com.

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

As December rapidly approaches, Pernod Ricard UK is ramping up its festive marketing efforts, anticipating a resurgence in consumer confidence after a challenging year. The UK’s second-largest wine and spirits supplier is set to inspire consumers to choose Premium+ Spirits as the perfect gift or the ultimate addition to any home celebration. Throughout 2024, Premium+ Spirits have consistently outperformed Standard offerings, making this higher end of the sector a vital margin driver.

“Since last Christmas, consumer confidence has been on the rise and the outlook for the final month of 2024 is positive," said Chris Shead, Off-Trade Channel Director for Pernod Ricard UK. "Gifting and hosting remain two key trends and retailers should focus on increasing space in-store for Premium Spirits that act as the perfect gift or cocktail ingredient when wanting to show off in front of friends and family. Where possible, we encourage retailers to prioritise categories that have been capturing the hearts of consumers and this year, our big winners have been Altos Tequila, Kahlúa and Bumbu Rum, and we expect our Champagnes, G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouët, to be the toast of choice for festive parties this year.”
