A massive 13,000 square foot Asian convenience store, deemed as UK's biggest Korean convenience, store is set to open in Manchester this month.

According to recent reports, Oseyo will be opened on July 20 in the former first floor of the H&M unit in Manchester Arndale. The opening of Oseyo Arndale takes the Asian supermarket brand to 12 stores across the UK, the first launched in 2015, with huge UK expansion plans.

Oseyo Arndale will be the supermarket group’s largest UK store, stocking the biggest and best Korean brands across noodles, dumplings, dried seaweed & veg, snacks, powder & mixes, sauces & spices, tea, rice & grains, and drinks including rice wine and soju in original and flavoured variations and non-alcoholic beverages.

Popular brands will include the likes of Bibigo Mandu Dumplings, Samyang Spicy Noodles, Melona Ice Pops (honeydew/ coconut & mango ice creams), KSD Rice Wine, Hitejinro Soju, Lotte Milkis, and Jongga Kimchi.

Customers will be able to pick up products from chilled foods, frozen foods and bakery sections, expect exotic vegetables, Korean-style BBQ cuts, Korean side dishes (Banchan), fresh Pandan Cake, viral mango pancakes, Red Bean Buns (Dahn Paht Jjinppang), and Baked Custard Bread (Cream Pan).

Korean ice cups will be a key staple at Oseyo. Customers simply purchase a cup of ice from the freezer and add in the chosen flavoured drinks for a takeaway ice-cold drink.

Oseyo will also be home to a huge range of non-grocery items across Korean cosmetics and facemasks, Cuckoo electric rice cookers, and Korean ceramics, including rice bowls, dipping bowls and dishes.

The store will stock one of the UK’s largest selections of famed Korean toy and stationery supplier ARTBOX.

Yahoo UK quoted Isaac Kweon from Oseyo as saying, “We’ve received lots of love and support with our existing store in Manchester. The Oseyo team is pulling out all the stops for this megastore in the Arndale, it will definitely be a must-visit destination for all Mancunians.

“Korean foods are in high demand, particularly with the rise of Asian cooking driven through the Tik Tok generation. In Manchester, there is certainly a demand for an Asian supermarket of this size. The variety of products within our Arndale store is unmatched.

“We anticipate trending foods including Korean ice cup drinks, mango pancakes, and famed, Samyang Carbonara Noodles, will pull in customers from across the North and beyond.”
