Mast-Jägermeister’s Ice-Cold competition returns for another year

Mast-Jägermeister’s Ice-Cold competition returns for another year

Herbal liqueur Jägermeister is bringing back its Freeze to Win competition for the third consecutive year, giving consumers an opportunity to win a variety of monetary and experiential prizes when they purchase promotional bottles.

Mast-Jägermeister UK is producing 210,000 promotional bottles with temperature-sensitive back labels. These labels reveal a secret code when stored in the freezer until ice cold. Consumers can use that code to enter the competition and then enjoy Jägermeister in it’s perfect serve; as an ice cold shot.

After receiving over 13,500 entries in 2023, 2024 is set to be bigger and better than ever – offering retailers an opportunity to capitalise on the exciting and unique on-pack promotion to increase sales and revenue. Bottles will be decorated with neck ties to visually promote the competition to customers and highlight the hundreds of prizes on offer.

This year’s competition sees 480 desirable prizes go up for grabs, including VIP tickets to top festivals in 2024 and 2025, mini-Jägermeister freezing cradles to keep the herbal liqueur perfectly chilled at home, premium branded green shot glasses, exclusive Jägermeister Jenga sets, e-shop vouchers and many more.

The Freeze to Win competition puts the Jägermeister perfect serve in the spotlight. Serving Jägermeister ice cold at -18ºC promotes the perfect balance of flavours across a unique blend of 56 herbs, roots and botanicals. The icy temperature accentuates the perfect balance of sweet, bitter and herbal flavours, creating a more viscous mouthfeel and making for a smoother drinking experience.

Consumers will see the competition launched across social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.

“Building on the success of our previous years, we are excited to reintroduce this interactive promotion for a third year running to continue educating our customers on the optimal way to enjoy Jägermeister,” said Mast-Jägermeister UK Head of Off Trade, Paul McGuiness.

“The release of the temperature-sensitive bottles once again offers our customers the opportunity to win exciting prizes and unforgettable experiences to bring the best nights of their life one step closer.”

Retailers can source the frozen bottles from their existing wholesaler now and the competition is open to all until 31 January. All prizes can be claimed by entering the unique codes on the microsite: jgr.ms/ftwsummer

Pernod Ricard UK ignites festive spirit with marketing push

As December rapidly approaches, Pernod Ricard UK is ramping up its festive marketing efforts, anticipating a resurgence in consumer confidence after a challenging year. The UK’s second-largest wine and spirits supplier is set to inspire consumers to choose Premium+ Spirits as the perfect gift or the ultimate addition to any home celebration. Throughout 2024, Premium+ Spirits have consistently outperformed Standard offerings, making this higher end of the sector a vital margin driver.

“Since last Christmas, consumer confidence has been on the rise and the outlook for the final month of 2024 is positive," said Chris Shead, Off-Trade Channel Director for Pernod Ricard UK. "Gifting and hosting remain two key trends and retailers should focus on increasing space in-store for Premium Spirits that act as the perfect gift or cocktail ingredient when wanting to show off in front of friends and family. Where possible, we encourage retailers to prioritise categories that have been capturing the hearts of consumers and this year, our big winners have been Altos Tequila, Kahlúa and Bumbu Rum, and we expect our Champagnes, G.H. Mumm and Perrier-Jouët, to be the toast of choice for festive parties this year.”
